What to expect

Visiting a new church can be a nerve-wracking experience for a variety of reasons.

One of them is just not knowing what to expect when you visit. This page is our best attempt to help you know exactly what you’re walking into.

When + Where:

Sunday mornings | 10:30 am.

Formation Church:
6775 South 900 East
Midvale, UT 84047

What:

The worship service is the center of our life together as a community.

Each week we gather to be with Jesus together.

This is an essential part of positioning our lives for a healing relationship with Jesus and one another.

What happens during the service?

Starting at 10:00a, everyone is welcome to come, grab some coffee and get settled for the service. The service itself starts at 10:30a and consists of live music with a band, engaging Bible teaching that promises to be practical in your day-to-day life, and often includes a time of text message Q&A so you can ask anything that’s on your mind.

Am I welcome if I’m not a Christian?

100%! In fact, we’ve designed Formation with you in mind. We want our church to be a place where you can belong before you believe. You can have questions, doubts, hurts and pains and you’re still always welcome.

Will I be singled out if I’m new?

Absolutely not! You’re our guest and that would be a horrible thing to do to you. Plus, every Sunday we have lots of people just like you who are checking out Formation for the first time. Our goal is for you to have the best experience possible, which means we won’t single you out in any way.

What about my kids?

We’ve got them covered. Formation Kids (6 weeks - 5th grade) have their own service where they’re taught the Bible in age-appropriate environments, play games, do art projects, and make great friends. Our goal is to create a fun, secure, and clean environment where they will be well cared for and loved. More kids info.

Where should I park?

We have amble parking surrounding our building. Just follow our directional signs and you can’t go wrong.

Is there a dress code?

Nope. Come as you are and wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You can "dress up" if you want to or wear casual clothes. Most people who call Formation “home” dress causal, but you feel free to dress however you feel most comfortable. God is more interested in your heart than how you’re dressed.

Do you have your own building?

Yes! After 6 years of leasing spaces, God provided us with a beautiful church home through a miraculous provision. Listen to more of the story here.
